What it is

Physiotherapy looks at how your body moves and why it hurts, and then helps it move better. It uses hands-on treatment, guided exercise and clear advice. At Aging Gracefully we begin with listening, and we explain what we find in plain words.

Who it can help

People with back and neck pain, sciatica, shoulder, knee and hip pain, stiff joints, sports and work injuries, recovery after surgery or a fracture, balance problems and fear of falling, rehabilitation after a stroke, and pain during pregnancy.

What to expect in a session

We ask about your pain and your day. We watch you move: sit, stand, bend, walk. We check strength, flexibility and balance. We explain what we think is going on. We treat gently, teach you a few exercises and agree a plan. You leave knowing what to do before you see us again.

We will confirm when you book.

Will it hurt?

Treatment can feel firm at times and it should never be harsh. Tell us at any moment and we change what we do.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on you and the problem. We tell you our view after the first assessment and review it as we go.
