Privacy policy
We only collect what we need to look after you, we do not sell it, and we do not use advertising trackers. This page explains what that means in practice. It follows Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
Who we are
Aging Gracefully Physiotherapy Center, Anchor Plaza, 4th Floor (Left Wing), Room 4E, Kerugoya, Kirinyaga, Kenya. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us on WhatsApp or call 0113 114 437, or write to graceging22@gmail.com.
What information we handle
- Your WhatsApp messages and phone number, when you contact us. Any details you choose to share in your messages.
- Health information, which is sensitive personal data. We ask only for what is needed to look after you. Please do not send medical records or ID numbers in a first message.
- Reading preferences (text size, reduced motion, high contrast). These stay on your own device in local storage. We never receive them.
- Basic, anonymous visit statistics, only if we switch on Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies.
This website has no contact form, no account, no advertising pixels and no social media embeds. The booking assistant builds a WhatsApp message in your browser and stores nothing.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to you and arrange appointments: steps you ask us to take, and your consent.
- To assess, treat and advise you: providing the service you asked for, and your consent for health information.
- To keep the website secure and working: our legitimate interest.
- To meet legal duties, such as professional record keeping.
Who else is involved
WhatsApp is run by Meta and has its own privacy policy, which applies to messages you send through it: whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy. This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as IP addresses for security and delivery. That can involve transfers outside Kenya, with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep WhatsApp conversations and treatment records only for as long as we need them to look after you and to meet legal duties.
How we protect it
Access to our WhatsApp account and any records is limited to the people who need it. The website itself is served over HTTPS, loads nothing from third parties, and sets no cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to be informed about how we use your data, to see it, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy in a usable form, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Message us to use any of these rights. We reply within the time the law allows.
Children
If the person who needs care is under 18, we ask a parent or guardian to give consent and to be present or involved.
Complaints
If you are not happy with how we handle your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) at odpc.go.ke.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
This policy is a plain-English summary prepared for the website. It should be read and approved by an advocate before launch.
